Welcome to Torre Laurentii and Sant Llorenç de la Muga – a magical place. Far from the noise and crowds of the cities and resorts, but close to the monuments, museums, mountains and beaches that the Costa Brava and the Pyrenees are known for. The house is large and spacious, with a garden, a large terrace, and a pool, but we are within the medieval walls of a village, with all of the conveniences of restaurants and cafés that this offers.

It is a place where children can run around unattended, while parents enjoy a meal in the village square. A place where locals spend most of the evening and well into the night enjoying the cool mountain air in the summer, while drinking beer at the café/pub and exchanging gossip with friends and neighbors.

Welcome to Sant Llorenç de la Muga

The village of Sant Llorenç de la Muga is nestled in the foothills of the Catalan Pyrenees, just a few miles off the Mediterranean coast. The official tourism organization, the Patronat de Girona, has qualified it as one of the most charming in the province.

Its large central square is a few steps away from the house, and it offers the visitor a large café with a terrace overlooking the square, two restaurants and a convenience store that boasts of having practically everything you will ever need, from fresh fruit to crisps to nails and hammers to a toothbrush and toothpaste. Another restaurant is located in the lower square, another few steps away.

Behind the church of Sant Llorenç, are the steps that lead to the river, which is dammed during the summer, and affords locals and “estiuejants” a place to plop down their towel, gossip and cool off in the river water.

A stay in Sant Llorenç will transport you to another time and place where you can disconnect from the stresses of modern urban life. Its authentic medieval architecture, its quiet meandering river, and its mountain air, all come together to create a magical experience, one you won’t soon forget.

Welcome to the Costa Brava & the Pyrenees

For guests who want to explore beyond the village, just a few miles away are the beaches of the Costa Brava and the Dalí Museum. From long sandy beaches to the rocky coves that this area is known for, there is a beach for everyone’s taste.

The Dalí Museum in Figueres is a twenty minute drive from Sant Llorenç. Port Lligat and Púbol, the two other monuments that complete the Dalí Triangle are also within an hour’s drive.

But there is plenty to discover beyond Dalí and the beaches of the Costa Brava. Girona, the interior medieval villages, the wine producing region of Empordà, and the villages of the Côte Rouge of Southeastern France are all under an hour away.

The day of your wedding will be a day you will remember forever. We understand how important it is that everything be special on that day. The town of Sant Llorenç de la Muga could just be that special backdrop with its medieval architecture, and lush natural environment. The Catholic church of Sant Llorenç (XII) is at the center of town, next to the main square, and only a few steps from the bank of the river Muga.

The villa is also a convenient few steps from the main square and the church. It also offers great spaces if you prefer to celebrate your wedding vows in a non-religious ceremony.

The villa has 7 rooms for family and close friends. The Juliet Suite, for the couple, is on the top floor with a separate entrance and private terrace, where you can dress, take pictures, or find a quiet moment for the two during the reception/banquet.

Our catering staff offer different banquet styles: from a traditional service with seated guests, extensive tapa-style banquets, ending with dessert and wedding cake tapas, to more informal garden bbq parties.

We can’t wait to work with you to help you bring to life your dream wedding.
